Since 2020 the work has moved from single sign-on for WordPress, to serverless APIs on AWS, to multi-tenant SaaS on NestJS and, since 2026, GenAI in Python — with independent client work running since October 2024. Most recent first.

    • Backend engineer on a consumer PDF processing platform serving ~5.8k weekly unique users, where document manipulation is CPU- and memory-bound and must stay responsive under concurrent load

    • Architected a multi-tenant NestJS backend with a dedicated database per client — containing blast radius and keeping query performance predictable as clients grew
    • Injected the correct client database into each request at processing time via NestJS dependency injection, keeping tenant resolution transparent to application code
    • Integrated a third-party ticketing service as a centralised support portal, with fallback mechanisms so support stayed available when the upstream provider did not

    • Wired event-driven workflows through S3 event notifications and scheduled triggers
